This tour gives you the chance to experience the essential of the Sahara Desert, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains with their majestic landscape of Berber villages and snowy peaks.
DAY 1
In the first day, the journey starts by picking you up from your stay in Fes in the morning, heading towards Merzouga desert by a minivan going through the overwhelming rock cliffs and breathtaking forests. Alongside frequent stops for taking pictures whenever its worth to do as well as stopping for lunch usually in Medilt. You will be in Merzouga nearly in the afternoon, taking a breath and having a little rest. You will be able to see the sunset at one of the Erg Chebbi’s peaks. After that spend a relaxing night at your Kasbah in Merzoga.
DAY 2
In the second day, you will have a traditional breakfast at your hostel then warm up your skin with the sparkling sunshine of the Sahara. Right after that, your journey into the Sahara will start. Driving past through the blistering sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, you will have the opportunity to see the big garden of Hassi Labied, Merzouga’s twin village, after that you will visit Khamlia the town known by its Gnawa style music where dark-skinned people play Gnawa African rhythms that are believed to speak of their stories as being slaves in the old days. Adding to that, the lunch will take place according to your needs, either in Khamlia or Merzouga where there are many restaurants offering variety of meals. Afterward, caravans to the heart of the desert will begin to march, join your caravan with your camel guide and take hold of your dromedary to the Berber camp where you will have dinner, drums, fire, and overnight. Finally enjoy the landscape of the stars above you and spend a night of a lifetime.
DAY 3
In the third day, you will wake up to witness the sunrise on the way back to the Kasbah. Have breakfast and meet your luggage, moreover, get a hot shower to freshen up your body. Directly after that, you will meet you driver that will bring you back to Fes, passing through Ziz valley and leaving the desert behind as you go toward Fes, stop in Azrou to have a look at one of the cutest animals of Morocco the Barbary apes, then passed through the Switzerland of Morocco Irfan and at the end arrive in Fes to finish the journey.
